Meri Brown is standing on her “truth” more than two weeks after announcing her separation from her husband, Kody Brown.
“I’m not for everyone,” the quote read, which was reposted to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday.
“I know my truth. I know who I am. I know what I bring to the table. I’m not easy to get along with, but I bring tons of value. I bring love and strength, but I’m not perfect, and if I don’t fit in with a person or group, that’s okay with me.”
The “Sister Wives” star’s post comes more than two weeks after announcing that she and Kody were going their separate ways after 32 years together.
During the December 15 episode of “Sister Wives: One on One,” Meri, who was in a polygamous relationship with Christine, Janelle and Robyn Brown, watched a video of her husband saying he didn’t consider himself married to her.
“If she wanted to go ahead and marry someone else, she wouldn’t argue with me,” the father of 18 said during his confessional.
After host Sukanya Krishnan asked the reality star how hearing those words made her feel, she replied: “Like he just made the decision. I’ve never heard him say that to me.”
Christine was the first wife to announce that she was leaving Kody, ending their 25-year “spiritual union” in November 2021.
Three days before Meri revealed her split from Kody, Janelle, who married Kody polygamously in 1993, shared that they were ending their union.
“We’ve been apart for several months,” the mother of six told Krishnan during the Dec. 11 episode of “Sister Wives: One on One.”
Robyn, who married Kody in 2014, is the only woman still married to him.
Meri, 51, and Kody, 53, share a son, Leon, 26, who came out as transgender last June.
Kody also shares 17 other children with his other three wives.
“Sister Wives” airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on TLC.
