Saturday update
WWE

- Bounce he tweeted that he’s fine but needed to get six stitches after the Miracle on 34th Street Fight that headlined last night’s SmackDown. The episode was recorded a week in advance. Ricochet wrote: “6 stitches in my stocking and a bulge…at least it’s not coal. #Slap”
- Independent wrestler Ashley D’Amboise played the ballerina who appeared during the Miracle on 34th Street Fight. JT energy played the cameraman who Bray Wyatt placed the Mandible Claw on earlier in the episode.

- Only Sikoa spoke to the New York Post about performing at Madison Square Garden for the first time: “I’ve heard a lot of great things about it. I’ve seen it in movies. I have seen it with my dad (Rikishi) and my uncles and my brothers fighting there. This will be my first time at the Garden, man. I’m very, very excited about it, just from the experience of being in the building. It’s like going to Disneyland for the first time. That’s what I’m thinking about when I walk into Madison Square Garden. I have this image in my head where I think it’s this big.”
- Sikoa also discussed how he was informed of his call up to the main roster:
- It was actually from Roman and Hunter (Triple H). I just got the call saying my flight is being booked for Clash at the Castle, but I was still injured at the time. They cleared me just in time before flying. They authorized me on a Monday and I flew on a Friday. When I got there, no one told me anything. Everyone was kind of silent, even Roman and Paul. He knew what he was there for, but he didn’t because the mission was unclear.
- When we were getting ready to open the doors of Clash at the Castle, Triple H walks in and it’s the first time I see him. He then he says: ‘Do you know that this is your summons?’ I was like, ‘No, I didn’t know.’ “Welcome to the main roster, you will be on SmackDown.”
- Charles Wright (The Godfather) underwent hip replacement surgery earlier this week: “Hip replacement surgery went very well. And I will say that morphine is a hellish drug.

- Sol Ruca’s viral shot has been named the Sun Thief.
- WWE has a behind the scenes video of Jamie Noble’s latest match.

- dax harwood is launching a new podcast called “FTR with Dax Harwood”. He is part of the AdFree Shows network and is co-hosted by Matt Koon. The podcast will premiere on Thursday, December 29. The topic of the first show will be Harwood talking about CM Punk, but Punk will not appear as a guest in the episode.
- Harwood spoke about Mercedes Varnado (Sasha Banks): “I think, like me, I feel like she sometimes gets a bad rap because of how passionate she is and how much she wants to. You know, she wants it all, but she wants to work for it. That is the same with us. Like, I want everything in this business, but I want to work for it and I want you to know that I’m going to work hard for you, and that’s her, man. She knows what she deserves, and she knows what she’s earned, and she works hard to get it, and if she doesn’t get it, she feels slighted and has a reason to feel that way. Huge star, huge heart, beautiful human being, the greatest fighter of all time. I think she’s just amazing.”
- Taynara Melo and Sammy Guevara from AEW they bought a house together.
- On Busted Open Radio, Ruby Soho spoke about the year she had in 2022: “2022 has been a roller coaster. It’s been me trying to find my balance here in AEW, exactly what my role is, where do I fit in, how do I want to present myself and obviously get injured and be out for three months and then mentally dealing with it. which I think, you know, anyone on this panel who has wrestled before understands that the injuries are more mental than physical, at least for me anyway, and it’s been a rollercoaster ride, but I think it’s been really empowering and I think the best sure has not yet come for me.”
- NJPW released the images of the contestants for this year’s Contest bodybuilding contest.
- NJPW’s Oskar Leube missed the Road to Tokyo Dome shows on Thursday and Friday due to a fever. Leube tested negative for COVID-19.
