Your new favorite sci-fi strategy game, infinite lagrangeOfficially coming to PC
infinite lagrange is a huge online sci-fi space simulation game that has been one of the top-rated titles in the strategy category since its debut. It has been ranked at the top of the download and recommendation list on the Apple App Store and currently sits at 4.7 out of 5 stars with several thousand reviews. Now developer NetEase, one of China’s leading game studios, is bringing its beautiful and ambitious sci-fi strategy game to PC this holiday season with various visual and technical enhancements. Specular reflection, collision monitoring, and frame rate increases are just some of the improvements in the PC update. By comparing before and after screenshots, you can see the ships dynamically reflecting light sources around them. The visual differences are obvious to the naked eye. Collision monitoring minimizes model penetration while affecting players’ war strategy.
To infinity and beyond.
One of the most significant changes with the announcement of a PC version is graphical and audio updates that help create a more immersive gaming experience. Fans love the game for its elegant ship designs, anthropological worldview, and large-scale battles. With this latest update, the game runs beautifully at 120 frames per second! The images look like a more robust industrial version of something you might see in an establishing shot from Star Wars or Star Trek. You might sometimes find yourself rotating the camera around a fleet of your ships, just enjoying the cosmic backdrop behind you.
Just looking at the visuals in Infinite Legrange as you build your base, add facilities, and craft your ships is fun. This new version for PC takes the already great visuals and makes the experience more immersive by improving everything. You can also level up each facility to gain access to additional perks, such as upgrading your capital shipyard to unlock the ability to build multiple ships more quickly. All of this is happening against a canvas of realistic space images that look like something out of the James Webb Space Telescope.
A pioneer’s dream come true.
The level of customization and layering of strategy in Infinite Lagrange is pretty amazing. The fact that they can make it incredibly accessible with such an easy to use interface is even more impressive. The game plays like a sci-fi space version of the hit series, Civilization. You arrive in a new star system with a small fleet of two ships and immediately start working on your base. After that, it’s all about building the necessary shipbuilding facilities, a fleet command center, a port, a shipyard, or other necessary items to help your base thrive.
You’ll start by giving your faction a name and crest and begin building your starter ships before registering your location in the galaxy. The game also gives you a list of helpful tips for exploring new solar systems early on to help set you up for success. These include scouting near the base and navigating other factions that may be friendly or hostile. Every two months, a new season begins in the game that invites players to explore and master a new galaxy. This keeps the game fresh and ensures that players have new frontiers to discover.
Ship models are fully customizable and created with amazing detail. You can group ships to collect resources, mine space dust, explore your environment, or set up defenses to protect your base. Build an army, mine resources, build your airspace, or develop new technologies based on your collected materials. The freedom that the game provides is also noticeable, allowing you to explore the galaxies in any direction.
Not everything is exploration and mining.
In addition to exploration-focused ships, you’ll also want to make sure you’re prepared for warfare in the far reaches of space. Large scale fleet battles are incredible and require focused strategy and battlefield domination if you are to survive in these new worlds. The newly added “flagship” feature adds a new level of strategy by adding massive flagships you can build that impact your entire fleet and how they work. The introduction of the new Identity Agreement System also brings another level of immersion to the game, adding factions for players to join. Will you sign the Trojite Node Recovery Agreement, Data Rescue Agreement, or Crystal Mining Agreement to identify yourself as a neutral faction? Or will you identify yourself as a free explorer and join the Hayreddin Clan as a Prospector? Neutral factions become Legrange Network diplomats, while prospectors will allow access to facility blueprints. This all adds to the level of customization and total immersion in the world of Infinite Legrange.
Infinite Lagrange will be available for free download worldwide on December 28. It will be released with various enhancements and cross-platform compatibility, allowing players to sync their progress from the mobile to the PC version of the game. NetEase hopes to redefine the sci-fi simulation experience, and with regular updates, immersive customization, and incredible visuals, they can do just that.
